veterans day virtual wall of honor
Harry Goldberg is the founder of Harriman Army-Navy. He served during World War II first in the Merchant Marines where he became a radio operator. His ship was torpedoed. Harry stayed on board to send signals to help rescue his fellow seamen and escaped into the cold ocean. He then enlisted in the Army and served in the 3rd infantry division in North Africa and Italy where he was awarded a Bronze Star. After his service, he taught himself to play the violin and became a Maestro Violinist. Anyone who knew Harry knew he had a gruff warrior exterior, but when he played the violin for people, he soothed their soul and possibly his own. We stand on his shoulders today. And for everything, we are humbly grateful.
IN HONOR OF VETERANS DAY HARRIMAN ARMY NAVY WOULD LIKE TO THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE AND SACRIFICE. A DONATION IN YOUR HONOR WILL BE MADE TO THE LOCAL CHAPTER DISABLED AMERICAN VETERANS. LOVE YOUR FREEDOM? THANK A VETERAN!
